The Top Ten List!

If there's one thing we've learnt, its that there's a huge range of businesses out there that have some great wedding related products, but sometimes don't realise they actually do.

Some suppliers seem like wholesalers, but look closely, and you'll find they're actually open to the public!  So take advantage… we give you our top ten 'non wedding' suppliers for wedding supplies:

1. The Packaging Place. (Brisbane) 
Cupcake boxes, cake bags, noodle boxes, chocolate boxes, baskets and more… 

2. Apex Display Service (Logan Road, Woolloongabba)
Little Clear bags, cellophane, tissue, paper satchels, little bags, boxes and more.  

3. Queensland Cuisine and Catering (Manilla Street, East Brisbane)
I love this store!  Supplying cafés and restaurants all around Brisbane, you'll find
tealights, glass holders, place card and menu stands, together with little jasmine tea cups (great for mini potted plant place settings) and much more.  But watch out – you may end up walking out with an Espresso Machine! 

4. Mayfield Chocolates (Wickham Terrace, Spring Hill).
Peter is a pleasure to deal with, and his chocolates are divine! The fundamental philosophy of Mayfield Chocolates, from the beginning, has been to make use of real Australian ingredients such as these and to use them in imaginative and original ways with chocolate of the highest quality. The result is that the chocolates "taste real", with substantial variations in texture as well as flavour. 

5. Ikea! (Loganholme)
Photo frames, tealights, votives, everything!  Need we say more.

6. Been to Spotlight lately?
Ribbons & trims, cake decorating supplies, fabrics… but they also sell noodle boxes, craft boxes, and a huge range of wedding accessories.

7. Valiant Hire (Turbo Drive, Coorparoo)
Hire from a wide range of modern furniture and decorative pieces.  Its also a very good idea to check out their clearance sales… I've picked up many a bargain.

8. Cake Ornament Co (Wilmah St, Aspley or Seventeen Miles Rocks)
Sugar flowers, flower cutters, DVD's, boards, boxes, candles, equipment, icings, edible pictures, figurines, ingredients, flower paste, keys, tins & cup cake supplies & more.

9. Vivid Room (Adelaide)
Paper lanterns, candles and holders, parasols, luminaries and more. 

10. Tom's Confectionery Warehouse (Nudgee Road, Hendra)
Did you buy sugared almonds or chocolates online? Did you run out?  Tom's open until late each night, and usually has a great range of wedding confectionery in bulk and smaller lots.  Try to walk out without buying something you've been craving since you were a kid like Wizz Fizz or red & green toffee apples.
